Meet the Mechanic

Meet your mechanic, Michael Kay! Mike built his skills and experience through more than 15 years of maintaining vehicles of every make and model

Michael’s passion for automotive repair and maintenance began before he could legally work. In 2002, he completed two years of Auto Shop at Ventura High School, then enrolled in Ventura College’s two-year Automotive program. After graduating in 2004, he had already paved the way for his lifelong career as a mechanic. He then completed UTI’s two-year Automotive Technology certification program, graduating in 2006. Michael joined Firestone Complete Auto Care, where he spent over 10 years advancing to Master Mechanic and team lead. He helped repair more than 40,000 vehicles before becoming Shop Foreman at an off-road specialty shop, expanding his skills while upgrading incredible off-road vehicles. Michael returned to his hometown of Ventura, California, and worked as an Automotive Technician for CD Lyon for two years before branching out on his own as a mobile mechanic. Which was at first just a slow paced trial run to see if his dream of owning his own Buisness as a mechanic was ready to unfold. After a short period of time he decided to go full force and created his Mk Mobile Automotive Repair Buisness in Ventura California and became a topranking provider for automotive repairs and maintenance locally for about 2 years and plans to keep up the pace with his achievements and dreams until he retires.
